The brief

A control room running continuously, where operators needed several machines each and the existing wall could not show the sources the job had grown to need.

What we installed

  • A video wall sized from the furthest operator position, not from the wall's dimensions
  • AV-over-IP distribution so any source can reach any screen
  • KVM at each desk — one keyboard and monitor set, several machines behind it
  • Layouts recallable per shift and per incident type
  • A briefing room fed from the same sources as the wall
  • Redundancy and monitoring appropriate to a room that cannot be taken down

How it works now

Operators move between machines without moving between desks, and the wall reconfigures to the situation rather than to what was cabled three years ago.
