The brief
A tiered theatre where the existing system could project a slide deck and little else. Teaching was increasingly being recorded and streamed, and each session needed somebody to operate it.
What we installed
- PTZ cameras with presenter tracking, so a session records without an operator
- Speech reinforcement tuned to the room rather than to the equipment
- Wireless microphones for the lectern and for questions from the floor
- Signal distribution built for the room to still work in year eight
- A control panel with the same layout as the seminar rooms next door
- Recording and streaming paths commissioned and documented together

How it works now
A session is recorded by starting it. The camera follows the presenter away from the lectern, and the far end hears the room rather than the room's reverberation.
